I love life and I love the people I meet everyday. I love music and the way it makes me feel. When I am able to experience music, dancing, light, love and life all at the same time I feel unstoppable. Who I am is the Possibility of Unstoppable Leadership and Full-Self Expression. The reason for Choose High On Life is because the community needs a place where they can feel safe a place to create wonder and a place to be free. I am creating this event for people within all communities to join together and to be unstoppable in what they believe in. I know how amazing you are and that you are up to big things and I am dedicated to bringing out the greatness in everyone. I am a shining light of possibility for all :)

I choose to be high on life because I feel that music is so much more powerful than drugs. I most enjoy rock/alternative/hardcore music because I love the feeling that it gives me. For me, there is nothing better than going to a hardcore show to make me happy and to completely forget about anything that is bothering me. I love when the whole crowd is standing so close together that if one person begins to move to the music or jump, everyone is forced to do the same thing. I love losing control to simply move to the rhythm of the music. Music is a drug for me because there is music to make you feel any emotion, whether you want it to change how you feel or mirror the emotion you already have. It can make you forget about bad things, or remind you of good things. There are so many things that music means to me that I can go on forever, but most importantly I always have and always will choose to be high on MUSIC.

Natural Highs

Natural Highs—Healthy Alternatives to Drugs and Alcohol is an interactive strengths-based educational program integrating traditional and alternative approaches to substance abuse prevention and intervention. The curriculum provides cutting edge information on brain chemistry and development, hands-on opportunities to learn healthy coping strategies for stress management, creative ways of accessing altered states of consciousness, and discussions about issues underlying substance abuse.

The Natural Highs class is currently being offered in several high schools in Boulder, Colorado (New Vista, September School and Shining Mountain), as well as at Naropa University. The Natural Highs Program includes a Peer Mentorship component and a Natural Highs Peer Leadership Group called the Action Team, which is comprised of students from several schools and whose mission is to create a positive and healthy peer culture in Boulder.
